Each week you'll dive into the Kingfisher Encyclopedia, read great stories from Story of the World, complete mapping activities, crafts, and projects....and most weeks also include an interactive History Pocket to assemble!
If you love notebooking, then you'll also be able to use the reproducible notebooking pages included to give your child a chance to write down and/or draw what they have learned each week. These pages are great for an end of the year portfolio!
Multiple Ages
This is a great resource to use if you are homeschooling multiple ages! Each week's research and activities can easily be tailored to a younger or older child!

Each week's topic is a broad general topic that can be researched in many ways! Learn about the topic in general, or pick out specific people, events, places to dig deeper into learning!
Classical Conversations (TM)
Classical Conversations (TM) families will find that this resource goes wonderfully for Foundations Cycle 1. It was created by me, as a CC parent when my children were in Cycle 1 as a way to keep us focused on each week's history topic and learn CLASSICALLY rather than using textbooks.
There is NO actual memory work or copyrighted information in this Lesson Guide. For the memory work used with CC, please refer to your Foundations Guide (TM).

No problem, this Lesson Guide is made to be a stand alone lesson guide on the topics of Ancient Civilizations and Beginning Cultures! It does not rely on Classical Conversations (TM) or any other curriculum or program!
